The Role:
As a Personal Lines Account Executive, you play a lead role in generating new business for the organization as well as business retention. You’ll create and build relationships with prospective clients, assess their insurance needs, and offer personalized insurance products. This role is for someone who is driven, self-motivated, thrives in a fast-paced environment, has a strong sales aptitude and communication skills, and is passionate about building relationships to help clients achieve peace of mind with their insurance choices.
What You’ll Do:
- Prospect for new clients by networking within the community and industry.
- Develop and foster new client relationships to drive growth.
- Identify and assess clients’ insurance needs, offer advice on products, answer inquiries, address concerns and recommend appropriate coverage options.
- Present and explain personal insurance products to prospective clients.
- Complete insurance applications, process quotes, and handle all policy documentation.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, product offerings, and regulatory changes.
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business, or related field or college diploma in insurance brokerage (i.e. CAIB, CIP or RIBO) is preferred. A combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.
- Minimum of a Level 1 Agent License.
- 3-5 years of Broker experience preferred.
- Sales experience would be considered an asset.
- Client-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service and solutions that meet clients’ evolving needs.
- Proven experience in personal insurance sales, with a track record of meeting sales targets, or other insurance experience where performance metrics were met or exceeded.
- Strong relationship-building skills with a proven track record of managing high-value client accounts.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify growth opportunities, develop sales strategies, and ensure consistent revenue generation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, insurance software and CRM systems (e.g., Applied EPIC).
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, time management and multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and sales cycles simultaneously.
- Ability to explain complex insurance products in an easy-to-understand manner.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities to support both strategic and day-to-day operations.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to address client concerns, handle objections, and secure favorable terms for both the client and the company.
- Self-motivated, with a strong drive to succeed in a competitive environment.
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset.
How We Work:
- Located in Fredericton or Moncton, NB
- Regular office hours are 8am to 4:30 PM AST.
- Occasional travel, off-site meetings or events and overtime is required.
- Networking at group insurance events is expected.
- Conducting presentations and meetings is required. (in person / virtual and formal /informal)
