This position requires an individual who is comfortable working at a varying pace, addressing multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously, adjusting priorities often, and managing frequent interruptions.

This role involves significant priority management, and excellent attention to detail. Surety documents are highly scrutinized documents that play an integral part in the livelihood of our clients making accuracy the top priority in this role.

The Commercial Lines Surety AA is responsible for providing quality service and risk management solutions to our Commercial clients. The AA accepts, confirms and verifies information submitted by our clients in their request for surety bonding.  The AA prepares bid bonds and final bonds including verifying accuracy and prepares the bond either electronically or as a printed document for the client all in compliance with bond preparation rules and requirements to ensure the contractor a successful bid or final bond process.

The Commercial Lines Surety AA is required to review job specifications to ensure the client has sufficient insurance coverage for the project and confirm if project specific insurance is required for this job.  The AA will be required to aid the Account Manager to seek pricing and markets to fill in any current gaps in coverage as well as submit and receive pricing from underwriters to provide to the client for any job specific projects to aid the client in their budgeting for the project.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following:

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in an administrative and/or client service role.
• A combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.
• CAIB designation or experience in the Insurance Industry would be an asset.
• Level 2 Agent License or working toward.
• Experience in a Commercial environment would be an asset.
• Strong experience using word processing and office productivity suites like MS365.
• Experience using Applied EPIC is considered an asset.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
• Self-motivated with a natural ability to deliver excellence in client service.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Bilingualism English and French is an asset.

Working Conditions

• Some travel may be required.
• Attending presentations and meetings is required. (in person / virtual and formal /informal)
• Some overtime is expected due to the nature of the role. Regular office hours are 8am to 4:30pm AST.

Work Location

• Fredericton or Moncton, in-office.
• Hybrid option within 12 months of employment.
