The Role:
As a Commercial Lines Account Manager, you are the trusted connection between our clients, insurance partners, and internal teams. You’ll manage complex commercial accounts, solve problems before they become issues, and ensure clients feel confident, supported, and well-advised. This is a role for someone who values professionalism, autonomy, and teamwork — and takes pride in delivering excellent client experiences.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as the day-to-day advisor and liaison providing excellent client service for Commercial Lines clients
- Manage policy changes, renewals, endorsements, and coverage inquiries
- Interpret policy wordings and explain coverage clearly to clients
- Collaborate with insurers and internal teams to secure appropriate solutions
- Support claims reporting and follow-up when needed
- Maintain accurate documentation and client records
- Prioritize workloads effectively and quickly adapt as required in a fast-paced environment
- Contribute ideas that improve processes, service, and client outcomes
What You Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in a Business, or related field or college diploma in insurance brokerage ( ie. CAIB, CIP or RIBO) is preferred. A combination of education, skills and experience will be considered.
- Level 2 Agent License or working toward.
- 10+ years of Broker/Insurance Industry experience with technical expertise.
- Experience reading and understanding policy wordings and insurance requirements.
- Experienced and proactive with commercial risk management (construction, real estate, manufacturing and/or technology classes of business).
- Cross border experience is an asset.
- Exceptional attention to detail, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational and time management skills.
- Construction underwriting & surety experience are considered assets.
- Working knowledge of construction agreements and contracts are considered strong assets.
- Confidence using MS365 and broker management systems (Applied EPIC is an asset).
- An innovative self-starter with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Bilingualism is an asset.
How We Work:
- Primarily in-office in Fredericton or Moncton, NB
- Hybrid work option is available after 12 months (or earlier depending on experience level).
- Regular office hours are 8am to 4:30 PM AST.
- Occasional travel, off-site meetings and overtime as required.
